Meridian Background Music/Music on Hold 1

I have music source connected correctly, music enabled, and music on, and still nothing........can anyone help me with this ?

I have not configured routes, that is where I need help. This certainly was not a user friendly system !

IN THE RDB DO A CHG AND GO DOWN TILL YOU GET TO MUS AND THEN TYPE A YES, ALSO WHAT SIZE SWITCH DO YOU HAVE. IF IT'S AN 81C YOU WILL NOT A MUSIC SOURCE IN EACH NETWORK GROUP

What system do you have ? I hooked it up to ours and it was not to bad. I had to get the pinouts and after that you have to go in to the set up to turn it on in 2 areas , Music on hold? and Background music after that each phone can control music on with feature 65 I think and the volume. I have a Modular ics let me know if this helps Ican send the pinouts if you need then

I can access system programming by using feature **266344 from the 7316E phone, from there where do I go in terms of music RDB ?

Dial access code for music route and see if you get music. Also make sure the volume is turned up. If this doesn't work call you PBX vendor and have it done correctly.

Numbnortel, Yes I have a Norstar Plus ICS, In still can't get the music up, Can you send additional info ? What are the 6
routing services ? Did you have to enter routing destinations etc. ?

Thanks perrypj for your information. I do have a Meridian 1 option 11. I have the same proble with my system, I cannot get the music on hold to work. The rdb route is configured, but it does not give me the mus option to change to yes. I have gone into the ld16 anf 1d14 and every thing looks to be in place. I also have the music wired to the truck. Any suggestions?

Maybe you forget the LD 15 on the FTR_DATA set MUS YES and the route

Hey Perrypj, I have a opt 81C but do had a problem where eveyone was not hearing the music, when I set it up in both network groups it worked? Is there a way to set it up without using two network groups?

Thank You MERIDIAN11C you were right on the dime. It works great, will play around to get it to work on outside lines from the attendant.
