Merging/linking 2 bcm ? 1

HI !

I was wondering if BCM1 under extention 40xx can merge it extentions dial plant to BCM2 under extention 39xx.

Example Phone set 4002 on BCM1 press intercom button and dial 3905 and it will ring the Set on BCM2.

This is possible to do ?

In the routing table. create a DN of 39 and point it to the other BCM system.

When you say "Point it to the other bcm" you mean to route it to it external line number ? or it can point by network ?

you'll need a network, an IP address for each system and VOIP GW Keycode. calls will traverse the network / vpn etc.

Or you could wire an analog trunk directly into an analog extension on the other BCM...!

the analog trunk look simple an interesting but i'm in canada and the other bcm in UK.

I tought the BCM had a build in feature especialy for merging, if i call an extention on the other bcm it will make me feel like if i'm localy in that bcm, like if i call an extention called Brian, i will see on my set "Calling Brian"

The main reason is i have a BCM at home and a set on a friend bcm in uk, i wanted to get rid of the set connected in uk, but keeping all the ability on my sets on my bcm, so i will save space on the desk.

I belive my idea is not possible.

IP trunks work great as long as both systems are on the same subnet. I've tied two systems together on my LAN using IP trunks and it worked perfectly. If not on the same subnet you also need a VPN between the two remote systems.
