Hi To All!

I was just wondering why my TIF image has a black background when it has been appended or merged into a single (multiple pages) file. The first page is ok, while the next pages were not. The TIF files were ok before I merged it.

I used Kodak ImgAdmin to merge/append the TIF files. What can I use to avoid this and how?

Thanks! :)

If this is a VB6 question, can you clarify what you're doing? If not VB6 then you're in the wrong forum. Try the 'Find a Forum' link at the top of the page.

Thanks for replying! :)

Sorry for not clarifying my question. I am able to create a program where I download PDF files from a certain website and then convert it to TIF images. So far everything works well in converting the PDF files using Adobe Acrobat 5 batch processing automation. Every converted TIF shows a clear normal image. The problem is when I started merging the TIF files the first page is ok but the next pages has a black background.

Below is a code example I use to merge the TIF files, I used the ImgAdmin.OCX of Kodak;

dim strFirstFile as string
dim strSecondFile as String

strFirstFile = "C:\IMAGE1_01.TIF"
strSecondFile = "C:\IMAGE1_02.TIF"

ImgAdmin1.Image = strFirstFile
ImgAdmin1.Append strSecondFile, 1, 1
