Merge Mirror.Log With Trans.Log

My aloha system crash at mid day, and lost all of the sales.
I know the system stores a mirror.log and a trans.log, but how do i combine them into one.
So that i can have the correct trans.log for the entire day.

I usually make a backup or rename the log files.


in dos

type in

copy /b mirror.log+trans.log newtrans.log


this will combine the mirror and trans.log files together into one log file newtrans.log then rename newtrans.log to trans.log


in version 5.36 or later you can run

\aloha\bin\grind.exe /mergetranslogs mirror.log trans.log


Dosn't always work - I just got thru doing a site - it would grind each day individually but after merge grind crashes. Will have to logview and repair line by line.

Ok, it didnt work.

How do I "grind" the report for the newly repair .LOG?

\aloha\bin\grind /date 20100930

the 20100930 is the date that would need to be re-grind.
