Hi,
You have to make a merge operation on the specify media BEFORE to do the restore.
Maybe the database was previously initialized and arcserve couldn't find informations to process its restore.

Thanks !!! but The tape this corrupt one !!! sorry !! the error UNRECOVERABLE DATA ERROR is the tape !!

Do you use Arcserve 2000 or Brightstor v9 ?

If this problem happening only this tape I suspect the tape goes bad and need to be replaced ,For how long this tape in production?
