Mercator 6.0 and disappearing Main maps 2

Anyone have a problem with a maps main map becoming a functional map? When I try to create a new card in the main map the map changes from the Main map to a functional map. Any ideas on how to change it back to a main map? Seems I am doing everything okay, seems like a major glitch because it won't let me put any more cards in with out changing it to a func. map.

Ok - I do not know your experience with Mercator so this may be a dummy statement for you, but one of the key things here on many an occassion like this, is by removing or having an invalid source/destination. As soon as any card in a map has no source/destination it is displayed as a functional map (and vice-versa) put sources/destinations in a funcy map then it can be viewed as an excecutable map (depending on your view)...

ekmir is right. If you don't have a source defined for the input cards then the map becomes a functional map. Switch to list view in the Map designer as it will disappear from the Composition view.

This can be a pain, as if you are calling the map from a RUN command and overriding the input its misleading to have input defined. I've gone for selecting the file adapter and specifying a file called card1_dummy.txt, so that its plain what it is in the event of an error, or when you are doing global replaces and so on in the Integration Flow Designer.

Yep, rookie mistake but I was used to version 1.4 and jumped to the newest version after a year of not using any Mercator. Thanks ekimr.
