Hello,
We have flash 5 and want to create dropdown menus. Can version 5 handle this or would the new MX version be easier to us for this?

Also, if we create menus with MX, does anyone that has an older flash runtime on their machine need to upgrade it to the latest?

Thanks!!

Well

Yes you can create drop down menus in Flash 5.

Yes it would be easier in MX, you would have to MX 2004 unless you can find someone who has a copy of MX that they would sell you.

MX 2004 comes with some premade drop down/menu components that you could use.

The backward compatibility of your flash movie can be set by you at publish time. However if you are using the Flash MX 2004 componenents the latest version of the player (7) is required.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
