I am currently working on creating admin/user access on an application...things were going good until i tried to disable/enable the corresponding menu items for users access... for some reason my skip for conditions (contained in a procedure) are being ignored when the procedure is called from a modal form (admin login) ??????

Ive defined my skip for conditions correctly by user modi comm <menubarname>

Any Ideas???

thx in advance

When a modal form FoxPro automaticall disables all the menu bars. The only way to bring the menu back is by running the menu program again. The question is when?
It has to be fired after the show event?
Mmmm, what even fires after the show? Actviate .... No.

We used a timer to do the job.

knowing that the menus are automatically disabled was helpfull..

Is there a way to regenerate the menu on the fly??

Since these forms are modal, you cannot run a event automatically after the read events. So, start a timer object and re-run the menu after a specified interval.
