I want to upgrade RAM in my Freevents x66 laptop. It is badged PHILIPS but is sometimes called DIXONS. There is no hatch. Can anyone help? - Thanks for reading this.

No hatch? Nothing on the bottom that looks like it has a removable cover? The RAM may be under the keyboard, I did a quick search for a disassembly manual and came up empty.

Usually laptop keyboards are held in place by a few screws and sometimes a clip at the top or between the keys. Gently remove the strip across the top of the keyboard to get a clue how yours is held into place. Remember, all laptop work is done with the battery removed and disconnected from mains.

I found that it has 2 memory slots, with a max of 2 gig total memory supported. SO it does have something somewhere to upgrade lol

Thanks guys. There's nothing under the keyboard. What is a SNAP case?

Hugh

A Snap lock case, (what I meant to write), is a tight fitting locking mechanism, used predominantly on electronic equipment, such as mobile phones (cellular phone)... not meant to be opened by the consumer...

PS: I tried to find a picture of it, but could not find any, is there a possibility that you could take a few pics (back and sides) and post them on imageshack or similar website?
