Does anyone know if there is a way to tell XP Pro to use only RAM and not virtual memory when running a certain program? I have a program that runs very slowing and I'm thinking it might speed it up. Thanks.

Barry

This a very large Bible Study program with several add-on programs. I'm not sure of the processor speed (and I can't check right now), but it's a three year old PC with a Celeron processor and 512 MB memory. It runs all my applications just fine with the exception of this program - it takes over a minute just to open up.

Well it is probably going as fast as it can on your machine.
Take the name of the program and check it out on Google (name+slow) and see what you can turn up. Are any of your friends running this software and having the same problems?

Maybe doubling your RAM is an option?

Is it just slow to load or slow when running too?

Will it or can it run better from Safe Mode, just to check the speed side of things, not as a permanent solution?

I'll work with it this weekend and try out your suggestions. Thanks.
