Can any one please explain when trying to do PC Check burn in on a system I keep getting a fail on memory 1 inversion tree. The processor I am running is a XP1300+ 160Mb SDRAM 133hz. Exhust Cooling is added for extra cooling.
Could be a bad memory module or could be settings on the motherboard. Don't think the Athlon XP series had a 1300+ in it, started with the 1500+. Up through the Athlon 1400 they used PC100 and/or PC133 with the XP series preferring DDR modules.
Checked system and it's a XP 1800+ running at 1.53GHz. The locking up only happens when test the memory inversion tree while testing with PC check software. The system also lock's up when playing games.
The memory is 128Mb SDRAM PC133
The motherboard is a PC266 M810LR
Running at 133/133 in the system it seems to prefer this setting and the temp is running at around 38 degrees.
Considering changing the motherboard
for a ASUS A7N266-VM Any suggestions wot do you think!
Accourding to the site the board supports 1900+ and beyound. Only using this board as its a good price for what I need it for. Other wise yes I would be using a more upto date board.
