Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me whether SDRAM PC133 will work on my PC (PIII 500) which is actually using SDRAM PC100, thanks in advance.

James

In 99% of cases, yes.
If it's a Compaq, HP, or PB computer, then you should get as much info as you can, and check with the mfg. Cheers,

Just to reiterate what Comtech said:
'Yes, most of the time'

PC133 is backwards compatible on PC100 motherboards. However, some motherboards are extremely sensitive to density and compatibility. So, there's no guarantee it will work.

If you know it's an Intel board (810 chipset for example), then chances are that it will work just fine.

as an FYI.. some of the newer PC133 ram chips are set up differently and will NOT work in older pc100 slots. due to some differences in the archetecture I was given to understand.

When all other resources are exhausted. RTFM
