My 2-year-old computer will not accept 512mb SDRAM DIMMs. SDRAM is not the problem. Rather, it is the size. Max acceptable DIMM size is 128mb. QUESTION: Is this memory limitation imposed by the Phoenix BIOS, or the 440BX chipset, or something else on the motherboard?

Thanks for any help.

Try visiting your BIOS manufacturers website and finding a BIOS update.

Mike, are you saying that the limitation IS imposed by the BIOS? I don't want to buy a new BIOS if it will NOT free me of the memory limitation.
