Memory error when opening .apr file

Using Approach 9.0: I get this pop-up message when I'm trying to open a particular .apr file - happens only with this file:

DDE Server Window: approach.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77fca2bf" referenced memory
at "0x77d52180". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program.

If you click on OK, you exit Approach. What could be causing this? Just started happening on this file which we've used for a couple of months.

Solved my own problem. Running Windows 2000, and got a new HP Laserjet 2200 printer. I started getting the error after I'd had the printer for a while. But when I selected a different printer as my Windows default, the error went away.
