Hi Folks,

Gotta a tough situation that needs help!!!

I get the following error message :

excel.exe application error

The instruction at "0x30026d89 referenced memory at "0x00000000. The memory could not be "read"

After which I'm left with the options to to cancel or terminat the program.

I've reinstalled office 2000 and patched it with sr-1a and even did a repair of my W2k. Still no resolution.

Would appreciate some light. Thanks

I've got 3 tips for you:

1. Have you tried fully uninstalling Office before re-installing it?

2. Do you have enough space left on your primary scratch disk?

3. Have you tried installing W2K SP3?

Sounds like a pointer trying to access memory or something - it's a basic error. Some other program conflicting maybe?

I managed to overcome the problems...by removing my profile.
Got this idea from one of the threads in this forum.

But still, getting back to your question Randy, yes I did do a re-installation of Off2k and I carried out a repair of W2K. Short of applying SP3.

Thanks one and all for the invaluable input.
