Memo (Long Oracle) field truncated to 2 chars in v10

I connect to an oracle database via ODBC.
I have updgraded from Crystal 8.5 to version 10
My Oracle Long fields, shown as Memo fields in Crystal now only show the first two characters. In v 8.5 the whole field was displayed.

Can anyone help and tell me why?

Which ODBC driver are you using, Oracle's or Crystals? I would suspect the connectivity.

I would suggest using the CR supplied native connectivity over ODBC anyway as it's faster (providing that CR has native in CR 10).

As a workaround, you might use a SQL Expression to cast the data to a different type.

Thanks, changing to use the native "CR Oracle 8" driver worked. My memo fields are now back in full.
