i just upgraded one system from CS1000M chasis Rls. 4.50W to
CS1000E Rls. 7.50Q, everything was working fine, but i have few
questions.

when i try to register in the security domain via ld 117, it gives this error,
SEC102 Element 137.135.128.10 failed to request membership in the security

domain, Reason on FAILED: Upload Element Properties file failed!.
.........

but when i checked my dsp ports, all of them are idle and registered

i have a CoRes System with NTDW59 CPMGS Card

please help....

what is 137.135.128.10 ? and what command did you use?

but if everything is working and shows up, i'm not sure if it matters.....

In ld 117 do a stat ucm refresh and see if it registered with the Call server. If it is then go in to the command line of the MGC portion and issue the command joinsecdomain and then it will ask you the IP address of your primary security server and the user name and password.

ip 137.135.128.10 is the elan ip of my mgc card

i use the command reg u s in ld 117....

i will try to use the command joinSecDomain in my mgc card...

You don't have an MGC card do you? You shouldn't with an MGS.

For some reason I have had much better luck entering joinSec Domain on the MGC side first and then reg ucm sys on the CS side second.
Remember to enter ELAN IP of primary security server when asked not TLAN.

He has a CPMGS which does in fact have the MGC built in and has the same commands as an MGC.

i try to go to mgc command line but it's asking me a user name

on user name, i enter admin2, then put my admin2 password, but say's
invalid

what should i enter on user name...

please help....

if i unregister in the ucm, i can use, user name admin1, then the admin1 password, once it register in the ucm, i have to use the admin, and the admin password...

going back to mgc command line, when i used the user name, pdt2, then the pdt2 password, i was able to login, but when i used the command, joinSecDomain, it says user login has no sec_admin privileges....

how do i create a user with a sec_admin previleges.....

please help.....

I have never used the pdt2 user for an MGC. On initial boot up you set up the MGC parameters as far as IP info. Once the card is registered with the call server it will take on those passwords. If it is joined to the security domain then it will take on that password. If you loose the security piece then it will revert back to the admin2 password of the Call Server.
