Has anyone tried getting MegaPath SIP trunks to work on IP Office?

Having an issue even getting the trunk to register. All they gave me was a hostname, user name, password, and telephone number for the URI. In the past, I've only been able to get SIP up using a IP address for the ITSP Server, but Megapath only will give me a hostname address.

Any help would be appreciated!

Add some DNS to the ip office (system tab)

Good old google should do the trick 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4

I've tried google dns (i use that standard on most IP Office setups), I also tried my providers DNS.

Issue seems to be Avaya ONLY wants and IP Address in the ITSP Proxy Address on the Transport tab. I finally reverse DNS'd the hostname I was given and found an IP and tried it. Trunk registered, but can't call out. Get a MegaPath messege about call cannot be completed as dialed. Waiting to speak to a Megapath engineer about it to see where its being rejected.

But my original question still stands, anyone else used MegaPath SIP on IP Office before?

I'm in the Denver area.

You don't need an IP, the hostname, username and password and tel number is enough, you should not need the proxy address at all unless they specify they use a proxy :)
