I need to settle a disagreement that I'm having with a co-worker over an Outlook/Exchange issue.

Is it true that by default in an Exchange 2003/Outlook 2003 environment, when scheduling a meeting, that you can see the details of other peoples previously scheduled meetings and appointments, unless they have marked them Private?

My co-worker seems to say that this is not normal, but I'm fairly sure that it is. Can someone confirm this?

Your time is much appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge, if that person has shared their calendar out to the other person, then yes, they can see the subject line, otherwise it is marked as a solid blue block to indicate they're busy. If the calendar is shared out, the appointment can be marked as private, in which case the other person will see in the schedule area "Private Appointment"

Hope this helps...
