I currently have a Meet Me Conference set up on my G3si. I am using whatever came with my switch upgrade to R13. It appears that I am limited to 6 simultaneous callers. Do I have to buy more licenses to get more?
Also, If I added a 2nd Meet Me Conference would I be able to run 2 Meet Me's at the same time each with 6 calls or would the conferences be full after 6 parties dialed in to both conferences?
Also would my announcement board be able to handle a second Meet Me? I'm not sure how to check and see how many announcement boards I have in the switch.
Thanks TJ

Sorry you are out of luck. Six is the limit on any CM version. There is meet-me-conf. enhanced version from avaya, But it requires another server.

you can run multiple 6 party meet me conferences at the same time, you cann link them together. Unless you have a very very busy anouncement board it will be able to handle several conference bridges at the same time.

Not fun to train users on how to Conference + Number + Conference x6, repeat again x6 & link up.

How about this instead:
Up to 96 participants, up to 6 hours long at a time, reservationless and free. They provide a toll number, individual callers pay the LD fees. They also offer extremely competitive Toll Free rates if that is needed.

Bundle it with GoToMeeting and you'll have an awesome web/audio conference solution that will be easy for both host and participants with virtually no access problems.

No I don't work there, but I am a very happy and relieved administrator.

Sorry Toni269,
I made a typo, cann should have been can't. You can have a buch of 6 party conference calls but you cannot like them together.

Thanks for the tip on the conference call website...It is a great website...It can solve a lot of problems for a lot of Telecom Managers out there...Have a star...gblucas

TBarrnes,

announcement board doesn't host meet-me conferences nor any other kind of conferences, it just plays announcements. you can run more than one 6-party meet-me conference at a time, the exact number depends on your platform and epn capacity, but it's definitely not too low. if you want to add more than 6 parties to a meet-me conference, you can use expanded meet-me package as avayatech2 said but that will require s-type media server. however if you want to upgrade your si to cm3 you will get a s-type media server anyway.

Thanks I'm so glad you like it! You know I think this service is setup on one of those "rural telecom tax" loopholes. The person who setup the service probably had the wherewithal to setup their own local telecom company in the middle of some midwest field, they then take advantage of all that tax we pay on our telecom bill and they actually make money every time we call them. Works for them, works for me. I'll enjoy the ride as long as it lasts.

Just an FYI regarding Toni269's post, if you already have GoToMeeting.com access, it already has a free conference bridge service. I have scheduled web conferences where no one actually logs in, we just use the voice conference bridge. No problem.

But I am going to check out that freeconferencecall.com

GoToMeeting does use freeconferencecall.com, the provider is actually called BT Conference. They offer toll free conference for a low price, I think it's about 3.5 cents per minute (.035). People are raving about GoToMeeting, my internal co-workers as well as our customers.

Customers are so impressed they are getting in touch with me to find out how they can get it. They also have a product called GoToWebinar which hosts up to 1000 participants (free voice!!!) Again this is flat rate pricing, use it as much as you like.

We used to spend $2,500 per month on webinars for Audio/Web about 250 participants for an hour. Now we pay WAY less than that for the entire year and use it more. The quality and features are outstanding.
