I have successfully built 10 different meet me conferences with the ability to change the pins

Is there a way to make it so that no one can hear anything until the "moderator joins"

Somehow create a moderator?

Gunnar, Thank You for this, I finally got around to testing this. I just have 1 question, possibly more if I still can't get it working. when it test the "CONF10PIN" or "CONF11PIN", or changes them, where is it actually checking/changing it?

You have put in the steps for building this, under "USER" CONF10PIN, where is this suppose to be inserted?

Hi!

On the IPO, with Manager, you make the user "CONF10PIN", and all the others up to 19 if you need 10 different pincodes/rooms.
the pincode is stored in USER> SOURCE NUMBERS. This is where the VMPro will both check and alter a code, it looks like this: Pxxxx.
(The P must be there, only the numbers after can be changed, if you want to set them from Manager).

Kind regards

Gunnar

Not sure why you used numbers stored in the source number...rather than just have user variables?

Because some versions of VMPro deletes the variables from time to time, on reboot or even when saving.
Had one 7.0 bitch do this prank to me on every save, drove the customer nuts:)

I made it safe fore everyone:)

Kind regards

If your short code for conference meet me matches your extension numbers, then you already have a moderated bridge.
If the shortcode doesnt match, tehn it is an open bridge, and anyone can break the MOH.

EX:
4XXXX;
confmeetme
N
This would match the extensions to the shortcode, and any user dialing in, gets MOH, unless that extension (owner) dials in.

4XXXX
confmeetme
4N
THis wouldnt match the extensions, and everyone that joins would be in the open conf bridge...

@Telecomtekperson:

Are you referring to Kyle's "menuConference"?
You need a lot more than just the short codes to make this work safe an secure.

There are many roads to Rome, this is one of them.

Kind regards

Gunnar

ill just setup a massive module that has each users 4+extension as a menu selection that transfers to 4+extension, this will secure people from just dialing any 4XXXX combo and creating an open conference

I have tried this, but when the moderator joins, it ends up enabling the voicemail of the hunt group for some reason and instead the participants end up going through to this instead.

any ideas why?

Depends on if you did something different than described.

Works just fine for me.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I've used different extension numbers etc, but changed these through out. I will re-import and match your settings.

ok, i have got this working as I forgot to add the leave option in VM Pro, however the voicemail is still turning on, which means the next time the bridge is used, the users are sent to voicemail. should the voicemail ever get turned for the conference group the users are being queued on during this mod?

I'm having the problem now where after the moderator opens the bridge, the other users are not transferring to it. Not sure where I went wrong as have copied the bridge exactly.

I've done the above again on a different system, i can get it to work the first time, but cannot get it work the second time, it keeps going straight into the confq10 voicemail box (as the voicemail is turned on, but it doesnt seem to turn off again).

Has anyone else got this working?

I followed the instructions exactly and used all the same numbers etc.

Voicemail should be off.

Forgot one tiny detail in the document:
When making the Hunt Groups "CONFQxx", activate Voicemail, set the Voicemail Answer Time to 1 sec, then deactivate Voicemail.

I've done that, the voicemail is turned off, however the actual module turns the voicemail on during the bridge, this is how it works, the problem is that it doesn't turn off again. Closing the bridge doesn;t seem to make a difference. I'm not sure why.

And you have leave start points for each group that just has a transfer to the correct bridge?
