Media5 3rd party Softphone and Ip office 8.0

has anyone been able to make the transfer function work with the 3rd party SIP softphone from Media5?
I have the registered and telephony packages loaded on the softphone. the transfer icon is light up, but it always says "transfer failed" when you try to make a blind transfer. I can make a 2 party call, and join or split. but once joined I cannot leave the call without dropping the call for all.
