Media Security 2

We are installing a new IP Office. Version is 9_1_2_0. Does anyone know how to turn off Media Security? We have a bunch of errors that say the following:

Extension phone password is not defined.

Why don't you enter passwords? It is a security feature.

We would rather not make the users enter passwords. They didn't have to in the past and trying to convince them that they have to now isn't an option I'd like to pursue.

Ask them if they had the bank remove the pin code from their ATM card as well - The old check book didn't have any code.

- IP Office has a great security feature, unlike many other neglectic brands...

- I'm sorry, but you are forced to use pin codes, I wish it was different...

If you are trying to get rid of the validation errors without entering a login password for every extension go to System\Telephony\Telephony tab. Near the bottom there is a check box for enforcing login passwords. Un-check it. You can do the same for voicemail enforcement. You may also have to change it in security settings under user enforcement.

Just for clarity. I don't endorse setting up your system to be less secure.
