How does Commvault handle previously labeled media? For example, I have 10 tapes in a remote office that have been used with Legato and I want to use them with Commvault. Can I simply re-label them?

Thanks.

You can have Galaxy treat them as blanks and it will put them in the scratch pool... What version are you running?

I'll be installing 5.9 next week. I'm finishing up the storage arrays for the media agents this week and doing some "burn-in" testing on the disks. I have roughly 31 remote sites that I really don't want to have to individually label, so if Commvault will recognize it as blank media, all the better.

Hi

Selecting 'overwrite when content verification fails'under the properties of your library should work I think.

Jgrant... birky is correct.... that will let you overwrite your networker tapes.
