Media ID - NetBackup 6.0MP4

Hi all,

I'm using the above.

We utilise barcode labels which my robot has no problem reading, e.g. BR1032L3.

However the media ID is in the above example 1032L3.

I would like the full barcode to be the Media ID.

Any ideas?

You would have to set this up in the barcode rules I think.
Go to the robot inventory and click advanced options.
There is a tab called Media ID Generation.
Change your settings there to pick up the entire label.

The maximum length of the Media ID is 6 characters and the default is to use the last 6 characters in the barcode

bpACH is spot on.

It's usual to drop the last two characters, L1/L2 as these only show the type of media.
