Media gateways G450 consultation 3

Hello and happy new year to everyone!

I needed to know if there is any configuration that could be done on media gateways (G430 and G450) That makes them check if the primary CM is active after certain time.

Lets say that there is an incident on the night and the media gateways enter automatically on survival mode. is there any way that after X hours it checks if the main CM is up and it registers to it?

A gateway always knows if/when the core is available again. When/if it reregisters is based on your mg recovery rules set in CM.

From CM: 'change system-parameters mg-recovery-rule X'
Then apply that rule the MG via command: 'change media-gateway X'

And the phones registed on the LSP will register to the primary too?

When an LSP no longer has any gateways registered to it, it then disallows phones from registering to the LSP which forces them back to the MAIN.

But this works? I mean we have checked the configuration on our system and it seems configured correctly it is on "immediately" and applied to the media gateway.

But we see that the gateways remain on LSP mode (Which is not a problem but they can't call other users outside the site)and it don't go to the primary server.

Also I'm mounting a test lab to try this.

yes it works, lol. post a shot of your "disp media X" showing us the rule is assigned, then a shot of "disp sys mg-rec x" to see when they are set to migrate back and what the stability timer is set to.

Could also be due to how your transition point is set up on the gateway but let's look at your CM config first.

config attached, you explained it well so I think they are configured correctly, we have the same config in another countries (differents CMs) and seems not working too.
