Is anyway aware of an issue with time running slow on the Media Gateway 8300. We are not using it for VOIP but every 6-8 weeks the site opens a ticket to fix the time. It is always slow.

Any input would be GREAT!!!

Thanks!

Try pulling time from your network. My network guys have their Cisco gear pulling from a clocking source and I pull from them. My S8700 stays on track with the network thus computer time.

Hope this helps,

If the network is not an option, just google public time servers and you will find numerous choices to clock off of.

just go into the webinterface, en select configure server. There is an option to fill in the ip address or dns name of the ntp server. After you filled in the name or address you can either check in communication manager by list history if the time did update, or you can go into the linux shell

My Burger King Star Wars watch kept better time than the PBX server. Was to the point that I was changing it weekly to keep the Admin assitants happy. Finally clocked it to one of our LAN servers and haven't had any complaints since.
