Hello

I have a CS1000E with MGs. After a change in SUPL on a MG i had to restart that MG. I was unable to find a software command for it. I then power down and up that MG.
Does anyone knows if there is another way to do it?

There is no software reset in normal ld's, but you should be able to go into pdt and do a reboot -1 and it will reboot.

Do you mean that i have to log in the pdt of the SSC of the Media Gateway?
Is it accessible when the MG is synchronized the Call Server?

yes you have to log into the ssc on the mg, if memory serves me correctly you can have tty's programmed to access it, and if it is #1 mg it will be 3,4,5, you should be able to access pdt from any of those.

With CS1000E it's not possible to have serial port anymore on MG. Only each CS have 2 serial ports. It's then absolutly necessary to use the MRV box to connect a system that needs a serial connection (i.e: for CDR)
Instead of it, i may connect to MG SSC through a PTY.

I guess i am getting a little behind, thats ok even if you go in through a pty you should still be able to acess ptd i believe, if not then it is a mute point. I would give it a shot and see what happens
