We have had some issues with power outages at a site that has (2) G700 media gateways. The last 3 times the G700s would not come back off of the LSP mode. We are at CM 6.2 and right now we do not have the permission to use the enable mg return command. So my question is shouldn't it come back off of the LSP on its own? The recovery rule 1 is set to 15 minutes. Isn't that excessive? And I do not know what the transition point is set at. What command do I use in the media-gateway to see what the transition point is set at? Thanks.

Check your system-parameters mg-recovery-rule - you may have set it to not go back automatically.

I checked the system parameters mg-recovery-rule and it is set at 0-active calls to migrate gateway to primary. network stability is set at 15 minutes. So if it is set at 0, the gateways that had issues due to a power outage, should have reregistered with the primary, correct?

Try running these commands on the Gateway itself

set reset-times primary-search 2
set reset-times total-search 10
set reset-times transition-point 2
