Hi
I am currently using CS1 and in the transform box i want to make something 210mm but when I type it in it keeps coming up 209.999mm and likewise with other measurements. Frustrating me now, anyone help?
Cheers

Interesting.

I use the same version, but work in inches. I tried switching to mm and got the same thing you do. The size would change from teh typed value, like 210 mm, to 209.999 like you said. When I selcted scale stroke in the transform window, I'd get something like 210.0001. Very odd.

It doesn't do this when you use inches, even to the 10,000th. It doesn't do it if you use CM. Seems to change things 1/10,000th when you use MM.

I tried all sorts of settings and got what you got. I assume that i 10,000th of a mm is no problem, but it is strange.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Hi
I'm using Tiger on a G5 and your right, is very odd.

I found this on the adobe forum, I don't really understand what he is on about but sounds like he knows his stuff so I guess in future I will just switch to centimeters

Cheers

John Slate did indeed know what he was talking about. He was very knowledgeable in Illustrator and Photoshop. He had a fatal heart-attack December 30th of last year. He is missed in the Adobe community.
