ME and Driver Database

I have been having a lot of problems with some software being compatible with windows me. Someone advised me that the full version does not give that many problems because it is not using windows 98 drivers (previous ver.) In addition, whenever I do something that requires Me to build a database it takes about 45 minutes to build. The same goes for software that is related to Windows system (for example, windows update.....it takes about 30 - 45 minutes to install). Can anyone offer any pointers.

whqat type of system is sounds like you got something very wrong without more info on the porblem i say reinstall. So long and thanks for all the fish.

I have a built computer 2 hardrives 2.1 and 12 G - amd 450
228 Ram....Soyo 5ema+1 mother board.

The upgrade should have the full version on the upgrade cd. After reformating the boot drive runsetup from your cd reader. It will ask for your win9X cd.to verify you're ok to install the ME os.

If your processor is a Duron, those are known to be problematic. Next time, choose a thunderbird or Intel processor. Let me know.
