unfortunatly this is a remote site for me and i am unable to look at the connections but i have sent a tech to look at it. is there anything obvious that i may be missing.

the mdr looks good, dis tty x enl tty x (ld 37)... most of the time it's layer one.. hardware, usually a connection that is not screwed down... nortel doesn't send the correct hardware kit for that. most of them i see are tywraped and/or taped..

Thanks John, I already dis and enl the tty so it looks like now i need my tech to check all the connections. if i reboot the MDR will i loose all the data in it?

i don't think that any data will be lost on a reboot. we have to buy a new mdr2000, ours is about 10 years old and is acting like and old toaster. any sujestions on a good place to look?

no clue on where to get on myself, thanks for all the help. we had to reboot the box and it seems to be working.

if you've got power and no lights... replace it.. you only lose data if your bat is bad (int)
