I have an Access 2000 database in a workgroup that I am developing. For some reason my "make mde file" option is dimmed. Why?

If you are using an Access 2002 (xp) you won't be able to open a previous version of Access, just like i encountered this morning... i hate microsoft!

I developed this database. I am using XP but I'm developing in 2000 (you can do that in XP). Any other suggestions as to why my mde option is dimmed?

you can continue your program development on Access XP but you cannot create an MDE file for that previous version. well, you can convert it first to Access 2002, then your MDE option will not be dimmed anymore. but, im not sure if that MDE (2002) will work on Access 97/2000 runtime.
