We want to bring over email from a MDaemon mail server to an Exchange 2000 mail server. Does anyone know how to do this?

The simplest way to do this is to have the users mail in a .pst file under outlook, then after you have set up exchange add the .pst to the outlook profile, that way the exchange set-up is clean, and if you want you can drop and drag from the .pst to the exchange mailbox.
really depends how many users you have to migrate.

Hi mtartaglia,

This kind of conversion has got to be the rarest thing you'll find out there. You'll be going from something "useful" to an admin to something "painful" to an admin.. :)

But, if you need to move to Exchange Server, your best bet is to build up your Active Directory before installing Exchange and the conversion should be cool.... I would also move the users one at a time to the new server.... and thats about it really... I guess it depends on the size of your location....

Thanks,
Kevin
