MDaemon does not retreive external mail from ISP mail server

Greetings,

Not sure if this would be the right place to post. But I recently moved my MDaemon server onto my Internal network (192.168.x.x) with ISA Server 2004. Since the move, clients can send mail to each other internally without any problems, they can also send mail to external clients, however, the external mail does not get downloaded to MDaemon. The mail sits on the ISP mail server (so external clients do not get rejected mail)

As it stands, all the mail from external clients is still on the ISP, and no matter how many time i try to process inbound/outbound it does not seem to bring it through, What can be wrong?

The server has 2 NICs (172.16.x.x for Internet and 192.168.x.x for Internal LAN) Everyone can browse the net, we have a few users which have external mail servers configed in outlook whihc seems to work fine>

You may need to set up your server to use dequeue. That will tell the ISP that you are ready to take mail. You should also look at DomainPOP, if you are set up that way. Sounds like the ISP may not be able to connect to your computer, and you should also look at firewall issues that might keep the external SMTP from connecting.

Hi dreamaz,

Now question is that from where you have moved your MDaemon to your internal network, is it was working fine before, and one other question is that how you have moved from there to its cureent location.

I can suggest you two things, 1st of all check the setting in Domain PoP, and if it was working fine before check your firewal settings, if you have any more assistance, you can put your question with the above mentioned details.
