Hi,

I have updated my Win98 SE with MDAC 2.7 program and checked
it with component checker (cc.exe) from Microsoft website. Found a warning
that is as following:

Item Name,Item Type,ErrorString,Status
MSADCO.DLL,COM,Unknown Class ID =
{9381d8f1-0288-11d0-9501-00aa00b911a5},Warning

And I attached the screen. Please tell me the impact and any solution?
Thanks.

Some info. You will only have to do the msadco

1. In MDAC Component Checker, right click the first Unknown Class ID ErrorString (e.g. Unknown Class ID – {0997A571-126E-11D0-9D8A-00A0C9A0631E} and select “Copy, ErrorString”.
2. Open Notepad and past the ErrorString. Copy numerical value (e.g. {0997A571-126E-11D0-9D8A-00A0C9A0631E} including the swiggly brackets).
3. In the Registry, search for the ErrorString (e.g. {0997A571-126E-11D0-9D8A-00A0C9A0631E} including the swiggly brackets).
4. Only delete the keys from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID key.
5. Repeat for the second Unknown Class ID.
6. Open a DOS Command Box. Register the two DLLs as follows:
a. Change to the directory c:\program files\common files\system\ole dbb. Run regsvr32.exe msdaps.dll
c. Change to the directory c:\program files\common files\system\msadcd. Run regsvr32.exe msadco.dll).
Re-run ComCheck
