Hi all!
The system here (MD110 BC11SP10) is composed by 17 LIMs, we have several ELU31 and more or less 100 RFP (both 301 and 201) installed. The DECT phones in use at the moment are DT570, DT 290, DT412 and DT590. While DT570 works perfectly, all the other models (290, 412 and 590) have a strange behaviour: when they go out of field, once the filed returns they don't sense it and they remain in the "searching" state (looking for the field) until I shut down and turn on again the device. In this way the phone begin to work normally, but if I don't turn off and on the device it would search for the field forever, being unuseful.
I repeat, this strange behaviour occurs only with DT290, DT412 and DT590. DT570 works great!

No problems with the synchronization ring, 5 RFP programmed on each ELU31 (average value), all the RFP works perfectly.
The firmware releases are the following:

ELU31 R8A,
201 R6B,
301 R3E

Any idea, suggestion, experience? If you need more details just ask!
Thank you in advance for your kindness in reading my message (and I hope you can help me)!

I think these issues are already solved:

latest stable revision of MD110 BC11 is SP15+recommended firmware revision for ELU31 is R9A .

contact your local service provider to have your PBX upgraded.

All DECT DT290, 590 and 412 have this problem?
And wich Sofware version is loaded to phones?

Thank you all for your suggestion.
In particular:

>whosrdaddy => It's about to be done an upgrade to BC12. Do you think it can be useful in order to solve this problem?

>rfpui => yes, the problem occurs on ALL DT412, DT290, DT590, every device has the same behaviour, non of them works well. On the countrary with DT570 we don't have any problem... These are the software details you asked me:

DT570 R3E
DT290 R1S
DT412 2.94
DT590 8.41

Thank you again

dect firmwares are ok, if you can wait to bc12 then you don't have to upgrade to SP15 (it means less work for your telephony provider)

This can be due to a firmware on the RFP's
Have seen this behaviour at our site before upgrading them.
We run BC11-SP15 and did still have this problem.

The DT570 and even DT368 ( a few left ) works perfect.

Thank you whosrdaddy and ICFUC!

I thought it was a problem caused by the RFP firmware and I am waiting for a new release (it should arrive today by email) in order to upgrade the firmware... I'll keep you informed.

Thank you again

Hi all!
I finally solved the problem with DT412 and 590. Just for let this KB growing I post here the solution, so everyone looking for the same problem can solve it:

Everything was due to the old BS and ELU firmware, I had to upload into ELU31 the R9A release and the R4D into the BS301
No firmware uploading was needed for the phones.
Then I'll have to chang ALL the old BS201, replacing them with 301 as suggested by Ericsson itself. There are 61 BS201 installed here, I think it will be a hard job :-D

It is nice to see a status report (problem solved or not) her in this forum. Many times engineers here in this forum use a lot of time trying to solve a specific problem. The originator (=person, who begins a thread)of the problem should at least report back if the given info and hints helped to solve the problem.
So Thank You for this!
