I took the following path VB-desktop (hard), VB-enterprise (easier than desktop), then 70-100 and then an elective. I took the two VBs first because I was working with VB. Plus these two are more like a standard test - if you review practice tests (memorize) you stand a decent chance of passing them. 70-100 has portions of it that require thought (not multiple guess or true/false). Whichever path you take try and get as many practice exams under your belt before taking them as they are not cheap to take.
I took the VB desktop and distributed and found them about the same in difficulty, probably the desktop slightly easier. It really depends on the individual's skills and experience.
