Good morning.
I was wondering if you could advise?
We had a server failure at a customer site which had unity on. The server is a MCS-7825-H2-UC1, and on looking at this once replaced, there does not appear to be anyway to manage the RAID on the system. There is no way to see if there is a disk failure or lights to indicate anything also.
Are there any best practices for these types of servers, as even my PC at home will alert me of a RAID failure.
 
Do you have the HP Server cd's that came with the MCS server?

Then go to the HP website below and search for the DL model of the server, select the OS you are running and download the software in the Storage Controller section :


The one labeled HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Event Notification Service for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 is probably the one you are after...
