Hello,

I have remote access to an Option 81C, Release 25.40.

They have an MCR extension that appears on five phones. Two or three appearances on four phones and the Prime DN on the fifth phone. The fifth phone is programmed but there is no phone plugged in -- so the port is disabled. If no one answers the on any of the MCR appearances the call goes to Voicemail.

This is switch I usually don't handle, so I have to take their word for it, but they say this is the way it's been working for a long time.

The problem is the calls now go directly to voicemail -- it doesn't ring anywhere first. I've checked all the obvious stuff (at least I hope I have) and I don't see anything obvious like a call forward to voicemail.

I haven't worked with MCRs that often -- is there is anything that I should be looking for?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello StanleySteamer, GHTROUT,
Thanks for sticking with this. (I didn't even think to look at IDC.) It looks like I've been chasing my tail.

As far as I can tell, it's doing exactly what it's programmed to do.

6540 does go through an IDC table and gets converted to 6542. 6542 is an ACDN that is NCFW to 5555. 5555 is a MCDN, which terminates at Meridian Mail.

The MCR 6540 appearances are pointless at this time. Someones been giving me the runaround.

Thanks again.

Thanks johnpoole.

For some reason I missed your message until now.

It looks like this was something that got changed and was never cleaned up. But I think it was changed a long time ago. I guess someone saw the MCR numbers and "assumed" they weren't working.

Thanks again.
