I needed a separate line for inbound calls from Customer Support to ring 20 phones. Since the M3903's had the CSD on KEY 01, I moved it to KEY 02 and put the MCR xxxx at KEY 01.

I then had a problem that if someone was on the phone on their main extension on their phone, and recieved an inbound call on that extension, it would roll over and hit the MCR, ringing 20+ phones.

I discovered that I needed to change LHK 1 to LHK 0... it worked, but does that sound like the right solution, and is that all I might need to change from switching 2 keys around?

Also, the MCR, they didn't want it to go to voicemail, ever. So I changed FHA & HUNT to point to the MCR's own number... which does indeed make it ring over and over again as desired. Does that sound like a proper & reasonable solution according to the needs that were given to me?

I'll post TNB prints of a typical extension and the MCR next.

What you have described, seems to me to be correct and only the MCR which has the MARP will forward onto voicemail as you have shown.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Just remember that during the period the MCR is ringing, ALL appearances are "busy" and subsequent calls will go to the HUNT - again, this is "during the time the MCR is ringing"

So, if two people call the MCR at one time, one of the callers will immediately go to the HUNT.

It is a design fault in my opinion, but it is the way it works.

to work around the busy during ring cycle problem we use

key 0 mcr 1000
key 1 scr 81000
key 1 scr 81001..

so if 1000 is on 30 phones and each have a lhk x, you will not get the busy, just multiable lhk key ringing..

if i need a line that never gets mail i marp it on key 0 or as a dn on an analog that is htd fnd.. no hunts or forwards.. if i need lhk then hta hunt 000 lhk x
