Is it possible to turn on and off the mwi with the mci via the mp card? I am having trouble getting it to work. Any tips? I am using RS1, 9600, No parity check 7 data bits, 2 stop bits.

Yes it is, I would move the MCI to port 0 and follow the MCI programming in the feature programming manual. 9600-8-N-1 is the normal set up for MCI. If you use this set up port 1 is now available for Mat/Modem depending on how SW 4 on the CPU is set. Use the correct cable of the MCI will not work.

Is the MCI working at all? If it is, but you are just wanting to use it for lights you need to change the message on/off codes in the VM. If you are working with an AD-40, AD-64, or and IM-16 you need to go to the switch setup screens and change from the lamp on off codes to I believe to "@,X" or just "@" (I can't remember off the top of my head).

I have centralized voicemail with remote telephony servers from Callware. The Centralized system can turn off and on via ccis the lights. But the local telephony server can not!! I downloaded the mci tool and even that cannot turn it on or off. There must be something else that is up.

are you using BLF over CCIS? make sure you have correctly set 1340.
