MCD 3300 MXE iii software 5.0 sp1 11.0.1.26
We did a back up from a old MXE ii and restored the Data base to a New MXE iii
We used the same software in both controllers.
The restore went good but we noticed that we lost all the Rad Greetings and could not
access the Mailbox 9999.

We had to add the Passwords back into the system under the voice mail options,
that gave us access to the mailbox 9999. we had to re-record the Rad greetings
and all is fine.

Anybody seen this before? Or any thoughts

The hardware upgrade was to get rid of NSU's and old 200 per bays.

Did you click on the checkbox to include the Voice Mail messages in the backup?

No I didnt because they are not using embedded voicemail only for RADS.

Right but the RAD recordings are stored in the same area of the HDD & database as the VM messages, which is why they didn't carry over, you told the backup tool to skip them.

@ Lundah, It should have retained the passcodes though, so...

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks for the insight I would have thought the Backup would treat Rads the same as the
Name and greetings.

Have a good day

I dont believe that is correct the rads are stored in the root folder for the vmail

the option to include vmail in a backup referes to the vmail messages left for a user not the name of the mailbox its greeting or the rads

We had a similar issue once and just extracted the rad greetingfs from the backup file andf ftp'd them over

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Just a update

Spoke to Mitel tech support, the back up should have kept the Rad greetings

could have been a corrupted back up

Thanks for all the comments
