Hi,
I have a mcd 5.0 on a ISS.
The strange thing what happen is that I have a embedded voicemail license which is available for allocation, but I cannot allocate the license. Field stays grey.

Does someone have an idea?

Thanks,

Ron.

The embedded set up?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

The ISS will not support EMEM! The only server models that have this is vMCD and MiCD. Hopefully Mitel is able to get this in for the next mayor software release.

I doubt it will. The idea behind the ISS is that it is a high-scale deployment, and in that case, you're better off with Nupoint vs EMEM. EMEM won't scale to the number of ports you would typically have on an ISS.

The choice of ISS is made because we use SIP for our client, and then it's cheaper than a controller. No additional hardware.

@Loopylou: which embedded setup?

Why not an ESXI server with vMCD as a server based system. vMCD will support EMEM .

Yep had my products confused ISS doens't support embeded but vMCD does.

vMCD Small Business with VoiceMail solution
􀂃 support as above plus Embedded voice mail for up to 150 mailboxes and 8 ports

Strange since you would thin the vMCD is more or less a prepackaged MCD for ISS.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Loopy, you're probably right in that they are essentially the same, however I can see why it doesn't make sense to enable a 30 port VM system on what is marketed as a 5000+ (or whatever it is) user system. In the case of vMCD or MiCD, the user size is small enough because of other constraints to justify the use of EMEM.
