I have been trying to find a solution for this problem and not having much joy.

The set up for the site is a standard multi node system. Calls come into a Trunking gateway which has the paths programmed on which distributes calls to an MXe server which has agents goups, agents and devices programmed.

I have set up the path so a call comes in and after 15 seconds a RAD plays and after that a marketing MOH is played.

The customer has requested that if a hotdesk agent answers a call via an ACD Path and puts the call back on hold that the customers hears the same MOH played at queue level.

I had the idea of moving the agents onto the resilient MXe server but I am unsure if the MOH will be played from the controller the agent resides on or the trunking gateway which the ISDN trunks are connected to which houses the ACD Path.

Any help ideas would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

what MoH do the callers get now if they are placed on hold by the agent?

They get the generic site wide MOH.

I have just tested this inhouse with our MXe as a trunking gateway housing the path while the agent on a vMCD. When i put the call on hold with the agent I got the MOH of the trunking gateway.

You will have to tenant the ACD agent phone and set the tenant MOH source to that of the ACD queue.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Think you hear the MOH from the system where the path is.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks for the replies i have just tested the tennant solution and aslong as the tennants are set to be able to call between each other this worked.

Thanks

In COS there is an option for where MOH is played from. You can set it so agents will play MOH from their local controller and all other users will play the MOH from the trunk controller
