This is probably a simple one,but my brian isn't working properly. We have the latest build of MCD 4.1 on a CXi II.
I've programmed 18 x 5312 phones as devices only and enabled for hotdesk. First thing that I thought was wierd was that I was unable to program a CDE speedcall key for hotdesk login (set does no support this feature is displayed on screen)
I then go to the sets and register them the screen shows LOCKED and this true for 6 sets.
When I check the COS for the sets it has been labelled as unlicensed sets but has hotdesk enabled.
We have enough IP devices licenses but no external hotdesk. But I didn't think they are required for users/devices local to the controller.

I have just read my post back and it looks misleading
Disabling the port via CoS also works (i.e. it disables the port) Once logged in to phone network resumes.

Hi All,
For your information, we discovered what was the problem of the "PC port issue". Apparently this feature doesn't work in 4.1.0.69. we need to upgrade to at least SP1.

Can someone explain the exact specification of an attendant call ?
We have a customer that wants to program a heap of IP Device only exts and use hotdesking.

We know we can enable an emergency route to allow them to call for Police ambulance etc, but they also need to be able to dial an internal extension ( analog) which turns on an evacuation system.

I realise I can probably fudge up some sort of back to back trunk ( ONS-LS) and set ars for this as emergency , but I was hopeing I called set up a 'virtual' console and maybe reroute the softkeys to the ext of the evacuation system.

Any number on the console softkeys is the answer you are looking for
I suppose you could set up a dummy console and call re-route always to another extn should work

Yeah I tried that - but cant call them
I dont have a 5550 keypad to make it live :-(

What about intercecpt call hadling on out of service?

Nah tried that as well
created 3 consoles each in a different Intercept group with a different Out of service destination, still cant call it from IP device only.

I think Ill have to use the back-back trunks
