Hi Guys,

I have MCD 3300 with SIP Trunks from multiple providers as well as ISDN on it.

Is it possible to view and change code from G.729 to G.711 for a particular SIP Trunk ?

I believe that the system should be using g 711 by default unless you have enabled the compression or have your trunks in different Zones. If they are in different zones then between the zones it uses the g729. You may need to set the system back to not use g729 and then enable the trunks into zones to force it??? Not 100% but maybe someone can give us more.

As Alphamann has already stated the only time SIP trunks go compressed is when they are in different zones from the MCD
Make sure they match and then it should be uncompressed e.g. zone 1 on Local MCD and Zone 1 on the SIP peer in the Network Elements form

ISDN compression works differently and requires both DSP resources and licencing.
