Is the MCSD vb6 certification still worth pursuing in light of the MCSD .net cert track? I am trying to decide which track to pursue -

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

That all depends on yourself. If you already have the skills necessary to complete the MCSD-VS6, then by all means do so.

However, if you're starting from scratch, IMO, you'd be better off pursing MCSD-.NET. However, IIRC, the ETA on the Architecture exam for MCSD-.NET isn't until early 2003. Until then, you'll be in hurry-up and wait mode. Thus, I'd suggest you first do the MCAD as a stepping stone to the MCSD. Jon Hawkins

which track should i pursue? Thanks in advance:

I plan to take MCSD certification, but not sure which one. I'm struggling to make a decision because:

1. I'm familiar with MCSD(VB) but not .NET
2. MCSD for .net is still under development
3. MCSD will ultimately take place MCSD and become popular. But it takes time.
4. I want to obtain the certificate in 2-3 months. But I don't want to waste time and money to recertify MCSD to MCSD for .NET????
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!!!Thanks in advance.
