I'm wondering what the best way/settings is/are to set up my Citrix farm, consisting of 8 servers Win2k/Citrix XP with McAfee Vscan 7.0.
Are there any special settings one should make when dealing with a virusscanner on a terminal server environment or is it as simple as installing it on a workstation?
Thanks in advance.

I agree!

I use Netshield 4.2.60 and the latest dats.

I only scan incomming files and if you want, exclude all your pagefiles.

Cheers,
Carl.

Good point Ogi!! I also esclude pagefiles but that completly escaped my thoughts.

We have Metaframe XP 1.0 FR2 on W2K servers. I have both versions of VirusScans and 7.0 works fine. I exclude:

pagefile.sys
the Netshield folder/subfolders
our BMC Patrol software folder
our backup client software folder
%systemroot%\system32\Citrix (to exclude the IMA service executable)
%systemroot%\system32\spool (don't need to scan spooling print activity)

(be sure to check the Read/Write buttons on the GUI)

good luck

KCDave03,
Win2k and citrix here for 5 years no probs really, till last week and I think a Netshield update upset our servers. Added you exclusions to list and will let you know how it goes.
But makes a whole lot of sense.!!
