Mcafee 2007 Antivirus and firewall

Ok i installed mcafee 2007, i must have blocked something i shouldnt have because, now some pages i cant get to like hotmail for example, Searching on yahoo comes up bad request. I cant get anywhere to uninstall it, I try to bring up the security center, but it wont fully come up, i cant get to system restore to do that. What can i do to get back my settings whatever the changed one may be ? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried uninstalling it through add/remove programs. Alternatively, is there an uninstaller in the start menu. I don't use McAfee so I'm not sure whether there is an uninstaller in the start menu or not but it should definitely show in add/remove programs.

Yes it comes up in add/remove programs but when i go to ununstall it, the window comes up white and stays that way,I tried to explore my mcafee cd and uninstall it that way but it wont work, im thinking i blocked a sdmp file? I think thats why it started acting this way, i think its a system file. But i know i cant bring up my windows search fully, cant go to certain pages, can't get in my hotmail email. I set all my security levels to default but it still doesnt work. Im in dire need of suggestions, thanks.

Have you tried booting to safe mode and unistalling it from there?

Or, try using system restore to restore to a point before you installed McAfee.

Actually neither would work, i found from dell that you can go to google and search for MCREM its a tool to uninstall mcafee products. It worked so im good again, thanks for your help sweety
